At the same time, Hari's friend (Krishna Bhagawan), who is a lawyer also advises Hari to keep Lucky under control. These words of their friends leave their marital life high and dry, as both of them fall victims of ego and self-respect. The situation become so worse that both of them come to a decision to apply for divorce. At this juncture, Hari's grandfather (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and grandmother (Geetanjali), who come to know about the tragedy in the lives of Hari and Lucky, decide to unite them. The old couple, invites Hari and his wife to perform Dampatya Vratam. They play several tricks and finally their plan proved successful and Hari and Lucky were about to unite with a good understanding. At that time, Lucky comes to know that it was a trick played by the old couple and gets angry. But Hari's grandfather makes a final trial and asks both of them to write down the minus points of the other. When Hari and Lucky write down something and give it to him, he says that they penned down the mistakes committed by the other person and wanted them to pinpoint their minus points. When asked the difference between the mistake and a minus point, he says, a mistake could be rectified, but a minus point is beyond correction. After giving a good explanation, they both realize that they were in fault and failed to understand each other properly, because of the words of their friends. The film ends on a happy note with the union of the hero and heroine.

Sainikudu is an unending and boring saga of a do-gooder student ? Siddharth (Mahesh Babu). Be it flood or distribution of relief supplies to flood victims Siddharth reaches out with a helping hand. The Good Samaritan encounters conflict from Pappu Yadav (Irfan Khan), a criminal turned politician. They square off for an election where Siddharth's friend (Ajay) contests against Pappu Yadav. Then Siddharth gets booked in a case that's planned by Mondi Naani ( Prakash Raj), the cousin of Pappu Yadav. Seeking vengeance Siddharth kidnaps Vara(Trisha), Pappu's would be wife, from the marriage dais. And the rest of the story is as common as potatoes in the vegetable market, there is nothing new, seasonal or even out of place.

Irfan Khan looks like a toothless tiger with his voice dubbed and his character getting subdued by the hero's from the very beginning. He never looks formidable and it is only a foregone conclusion that he would be vanquished. The romance and witty exchanges between Trisha and Mahesh Babu are stale. The plot loses reasoning many times. The only good thing about the movie is the flood scene that is shot to perfection.

Mahesh Babu and Trisha act well in whatever scenes they have been asked to. Mahesh Babu's clipped and short dialogue delivery is becoming his trademark and its working for him.

Navavasantham is the remake of the Tamil movie Punnagai Desam, also starring Tarun. It's a simple story, an old story and even the treatment is old. That being said, it is still watchable. Four friends from a village, struggling to make a mark in the city away from their parents. Sounds familiar? Of course, there have been so many movies with such a theme. Navavasantham has a straightforward narrative, and moves quickly.

Suneel, Akash, Tarun and RohitPlot Vijay (Suneel) wants to be a mimicry artiste, Prasad (Akash) is studying for IAS and Rohit wants to make it as a singer. All of them are living together in a room when Ganesh (Tarun) joins them. Ganesh comes to the city from the same village looking for his uncle and her daughter 'Ammu' whom he was to marry. His uncle's rejection disheartens him and he leaves without looking at his now grown-up Ammu. Meanwhile, he works hard to make money to fulfill his friends' dreams. He also makes other friends-Anjali (Priyamani) and Ankita. Anjali is in fact his very own Ammu but he doesn't know it. He and his friends work hard to reach their goals, and Ganesh selflessly helps them. How they become successful and whether or not he gets his love is the rest of the plot.
